Management Team
Under the direction of InsMed's management team, the company maintains its leadership
position delivering healthcare industry specific solutions. This group of goal-oriented, results-driven
executives has guided the company to its next level of growth and success.
David C. Blake, Chief Executive Officer
A 20-year industry veteran with executive sales, insurance and operations experience,
David has managed the day-to-day operations of the company since its inception in 1991. He is
actively involved in the request for proposals, vendor management, and business development processes.
In addition he counsels and guides healthcare institutions and professionals on the design, implementation,
management and administration of benefits programs.
His career includes extensive experience with both large medical institutions and smaller,
physician practice. Some of his major accomplishments include:
David is affiliated with numerous group and industry associations including the Medical Group
Management Association (MGMA) and the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He has also been a qualifying producer
for several years for The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America's Disability Insurance Inner Circle, The Guardian
Life Insurance Company of America's Leader's Club, and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company's Masters Producers Club.

Morten Sorensen, Vice President
Morten Sorensen is vice president of client services at InsMed Insurance Agency, Inc. Morten joined InMed in
1996, and his background embraces all aspects of the insurance market, with special emphasis on benefits (qualified and non-qualified
plans), estate planning, long-term care and client support services.
Morten is responsible for serving institutional and corporate clients. His responsibilities include handling the
renewal process, day-to-day services, consultation with clients on various insurance issues, enrollment issues and claims
processing. Prior to assuming his current role, Morten was the account manager of house staff officer programs located in
New York.
Morten also assists medical schools develop and deploy benefit information and materials as well as
negotiates and manages contract requirements and clauses with select insurance carriers such as the Guardian Life
Insurance Company of America, Standard Insurance Company and the Metropolitan life Insurance Company.
Morten resides in New York with his wife and daughter. When he is not working he enjoys music, rollerblading,
and spending time with his family.

Mary Gurin, Senior Underwriting Manager
Mary Gurin is a senior underwriting manager at InsMed Insurance Agency, Inc. Charged with an abundance of
duties and responsibilities, Mary brings the highest level of professionalism, dedication and knowledge to InsMed. She
oversees everything from administration to managing all of the companyıs corporate client relationships to overseeing the
processing policies for individual and group contracts. No day is ever the same.
Prior to InsMed, Mary was a Vice President in the insurance division at Douglas Elliman, where she managed
over 250 real estate accounts.
Mary holds a BA from William Woods College. When she is not working she enjoys watching soccer and hiking
with her dogs.
